This full first round mock draft includes specifically what teams glaring holes are, as well as some curveballs that always tend to happen on draft night. Some riskier than others, however it all makes sense. I took the Odds, @Domwithablog took the evens...

With the 1st pick the Carolina Panthers select...

Bryce Young Quarterback Alabama

This pick just makes sense from the teams state and current glaring need for Quarterback. With new head coach Frank Reich, who tends to like taller guys, will get over this preference and go with the more NFL ready guy out of the bunch. Bryce Young makes good football decisions and can be an escape artist when he needs. The ability to extend the play is something all NFL teams look for in a QB and Young gives that you with the ability to make the correct decision when he does. He had a great career at Alabama under Nick Saban and going into a team with some weapons around him could really benefit Young as it did Trevor Lawrence in the past. He's going to see losses and be able to humble him early is something many great Quarterbacks went through.

With the 2nd pick the Houston Texans select...

Tyree Wilson Edge Texas Tech

With many recent reports coming out that the Texans are considering not taking a Quarterback this could very well happen. This number 2 dictates the entire draft in my opinion. With this fork in the road the draft can very well bust open allowing teams to call the very next pick to get any of the three Quarterbacks that remain. With this pick it allows the Texans to let the draft come to them just 10 picks later at 12. They can easily put a very highly rated weapon in front of Davis Mills and give him another shot this upcoming season.

With the 3rd pick the Arizona Cardinals...

Make a trade with the New England Patriots at 14. (Swapping firsts and seconds as well as obtaining a first next year.)

The New England Patriots select...

CJ Stroud Quarterback Ohio State

Although this trade for the Patriots seems unlikely, we really don't believe the Patriots truly believe in Mac Jones, therefore putting in all their chips for CJ Stroud. In this scenario it is very likely the Cardinals trade back with many calls coming in for this pick. Stroud looks like the smoothest passer in the class being the second off the board.

With the 4th pick the Indianapolis Colts select...

Will Levis Quarterback Kentucky

With Quarterbacks going early the Colts decide to join the action with this being one of their biggest glaring holes going into this years draft. We both agreed that they aren't looking for the project that Anthony Richardson comes with and go ahead and select Will Levis at 4th. Levis had a tough year last year, without many weapons, as well as offensive line help he still battled through and showed his toughness and willingness to compete. He will bring a younger presence to this Colts locker room and a toughness that they desperately need as they have been choosing to go with the older veteran choice instead of the draft the last few years but it clearly shows that this isn't working. This year they chose a diffrent route.

With the 5th pick the Seattle Seahawks select...

Will Anderson Jr. EDGE Alabama

With this pick the Seahawks are picking the best defensive player in this draft in my opinion. Will Anderson can be a DOG on defense and can get to the Quarterback with ease. Even though Jalen Carter is still on the board, Anderson fell right into their lap, and they desperately need help getting to the QB. This will be there guy here at 5 with this scenario.

With the 6th pick the Detroit Lions select...

Jalen Carter Defensive tackle Georgia

Detroit gets their dream guy here at 6th. Now with the Seahawks passing on him, they can pair Carter with last years defensive line pick in Aidan Hutchinson. With this scenario they select to add some help as Hutchinson had a great year. Being one of the most frequently double teamed players now adding Carter to this line and a gritty Detroit team could be really worrying for other teams. Carter being one of the more down and dirty guys in this draft, he would fit right in with Detroits play style.

With the 7th pick the Las Vegas Raiders select...

Christian Gonzalez Cornerback Oregon

The Raiders can go a few diffrent ways here. However when it comes down to it, they need to be able to cover. With their secondary being one of their weaker spots, they decide to get one of the better man coverage Corners in this draft. Being in the AFC West is not the easiest task at this time in the NFL with Mahomes, Wilson, as well as Herbert all in their division they need to get a guy who can create some turnovers and shut down some of their main guys on the defensive side.

With the 8th pick the Atlanta Falcons select...

Anthony Richardson Quarterback Florida

With this pick the Atlanta Falcons are going to take a chance on the Quarterback with easily the highest ceiling in this draft. Similarly compared to Cam Newton, Richardson could be special. This is more of a project than other Quarterbacks but with the correct people around him and some solid weapons he could carve out a massive role in Atlanta. A tall Quarterback with a very strong arm and can run right past the entire defensive is something the Falcons experimented with last season with Mariota being a versatile QB. Their starting QB at the moment is Desmond Ridder. How much do they trust him? We're not sure, however this pick could be electric for them getting a special QB without trading any pieces to move up is something not many teams achieve. It all depends on what they surround him with and how much of a leash they keep him on.

With the 9th pick the Chicago Bears select...

Peter Skoronski Offensive Tackle Northwestern

This pick just makes sense to protect on of the most sacked Quarterbacks last year at 55 times. Now with the addition of DJ Moore to this offense they need to give Fields some time to throw the ball down the field and create plays. This pick potentially gives Fields one of the better lineman in the draft and possible for years to come at the tackle position. Now that we've seen Jalen Hurts get paid the amount he has, Hurts can be on that track with a great year this year he could easily put up Hurts numbers, it all depends on the scheme as well as the time they allow him to have in the pocket.

With the 10th pick the Philadelphia Eagles select...

Nolan Smith EDGE Georgia

With all the looses to the defensive side for the Eagles they need to replace some holes from free agency before addressing some offensive needs in my opinion. Getting here one of the more consistent rushers in the draft on a very good defense in Georgia, he could fit right into the Eagles Philosophy and what they are trying to do on this side of the ball. This would help out their pass rushers to get the quarterback as they were one of the best teams in getting to the quarterback last year. The Eagles can go a few diffrent ways here, but this pick makes the most sense to us.

With the 11th pick the Tennesse Titans select...

Paris Johnson Jr. Offensive Tackle Ohio State

This pick would just be a start to putting the piece in front of henry that he used to have when he was running the ball all over the field just a few seasons ago. Now getting a little older and battled through some injuries, Henry needs some help and with one of the bottom offensive lines in the league, this pick could help out the process with getting some more offensive consistency back to Tennessee. Overall, they can pick any lineman they like better but in my opinion the tall monster from Ohio State might be their guy.

With the 12th pick the Houston Texans select...

Jaxson Smith-Njigba Wide Receiver Ohio State

After going defensively earlier in the draft, they decide to bring a big weapon into Houston giving Davis Mills some opportunity. Smith-Njigba bring that play breaking ability, a simple slant can turn into a touchdown and a great deep ball threat, this could be the pick that finally gives Davis Mills his shot to finally get some wins under new head coach DeMeco Ryans a former player who is destined to bring football back to Houston. This pick could begin the start to that process.

With the 13th pick the Green Bay Packers select...

Dalton Kincaid Tight End Utah

I think the Packers finally draft a weapon for their brand new Quarterback in Jordan Love. Being a first year guy but in the system for the past few years, he knows what he has to bring the table and Kincaid helps him do that. A versatile player and a deep a great route runner in Kincaid can really open the field for some of their young guys who struggled lasy year in Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson. Although we saw Watson thrive towards the end of the year they now know what they have in their skill positions. This pick allows the Packers to spread the ball more than just their running back duo in Jones and Dillion, now tih a play maker at the tight end position.

With the 14th pick the Arizona Cardinals select... (Via trade with New England Patriots for the 3rd pick.)

Devon Witherspoon Corner back Illinois

The Cardinals need help on the defensive side of the ball plain and simple. This pick strengthens the secondary hopefully with Buddha Baker, however with or without him they will go defensively no matter what in my eyes here. Witherspoon is a great pick and all around great prospect. He can cover and tackle anyone of any size. He covers all over the field and can really help them on this side of the ball. Although it's not the best defensive player in the draft in Anderson, they still get a great pick and help for their weaker defense.

With the 15th pick the New York Jets select...

Broderick Jones Offensive Tackle Georgia

Now with Veteran Quarterback Aaron Rodgers in their back field taking the snaps, they need to protect him. The Jets have improved in recent years with their O-line, but this pick would really solidify their line. They have had many injuries in their trenches and they need more guys like Jones who will play every offensive snap and play consistently. A real solid pass blocker who can give rodgers a little extra time is something they should prioritize already with some weapons around him on the offense, as well as a good defense that can be improved but worth sticking with. This Jets team can be scary.

With the 16th pick the Washington Commanders select...

O'Cyrus Torrence Offensive Guard Florida

The Commanders are the typical trench taking teams. They really like to have the best O-line or D-line. In this case they are going to take offensive line to hopefully give new starting Quarterback Sam Howell Some time, which he will need being in the NFC East. The Cowboys and the Eagles both were top 5 in the league for sacks, with the Giants not being the furthest behind either. This pick can be an insurance pick for protecting their new young guy and giving him a real chance this upcoming season.

With the 17th pick the Pittsburgh Steelers select...

Myles Murphy EDGE Clemson

Adding another pass rusher alongside a healthy TJ Watt and team leading sack leader last year Alex Highsmith, this could be lethal. Defense has been a strong suit for the Steelers being a gritty team who creates turnovers and wins the tough games, this pick can fit right along with what they’re trying to achieve. I believe giving Pickett time and allowing him to develop with the offense he has right now would be more beneficial than not, instead adding to the defense to help keep the scores lower than bringing games into a shoot out.

With the 18th pick the Detroit Lions select...

Michael Mayor Tight End Notre Dame

With the late trade from Detroit to get rid of TJ Hockenson this pick makes sense. They need a tight end and one who is tough that can block and catch tough passes. A steady reliable guy in Mayor is something the Lions can be looking for here with their second pick. Giving Goff another weapon to his arsenal and one who wont just affect the pass game but the run game as well. One of the better blocking tight end in the draft this year.

With the 19th pick the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select...

Lukas Van Ness EDGE Iowa

With this pick the Buccaneers would help their D-line. They struggled creating havoc last year which was one of their biggest strengths in recent years. I think trying to bring them back to this havoc creating way on defense could potentially open up this offense for Baker Mayfield and hopefully, with this being most likely one of his last chances, give him some opportunities to showcase what he still has left. This is a team pick here, this also helps out Devin White and makes things a little easier for him to get to the ball carrier or the quarterback.

With the 20th pick the Seattle Seahawks select...

Hendon Hooker Quarterback Tennessee

Now being the 5th QB off the board, and their second pick this round, Seattle can look to do what the Packers just pulled off with Jordan Love and Aaron Rodgers, having a solid young prospect in their back pocket for later on. Hooker who is closely compared to starting QB for Seattle already in Geno Smith, they could look to build around his style and have a team ready and waiting for him when Geno's contract is up and it's Hookers time to shine.

With the 21st pick the Los Angeles Chargers select...

Jordan Addison Wide Receiver USC

With many receivers still on the board the Chargers look here to up their offensive game and really build around Herbert. A speedy guy who runs routes to perfection and a great set on hands, can be really beneficial for a guy like Herbert. From my eyes, he throws so many deep balls because he has too, Mike Williams is a fantastic deep threat and Kennan allen is open almost every play. However, Allen has struggled to stay on the field recently and with this they cannot just rely on the deep ball to Willams every drive. The addition of Addison can really open up this offense underneath so Herbert has more options than to heave deep ball after deep ball. I think this pick is a massive splash and really gives the Chargers the keys to make a run long term.

With the 22nd pick the Baltimore Ravens select...

Joey Porter Jr. Corner back Penn State

This pick fell right into their laps, one of the best tackling secondary players in this years draft. Porter Jr bring a punch and can play all over the field. Pairing him up with last years first round pick in Kyle Hamilton, they can look to really solidify their secondary here with a taller corner who can come up and fill on the run as well as play deep and create turnovers. Porter may be taken earlier than this position, however if he were to fall here this may be one of the biggest steals of the draft.

With the 23rd pick the Minnesota Vikings select...

Brian Branch Safety Alabama

One of Minnesotas biggest problems last year allowing many passes to be completed throughout the course of the game. They allowed just over 66% of passes to be completed throughout the course of the year. Selecting Branch here can help bring this number down as well as help up the middle with stopping the run. Pairing him up with Harrison Smith in their secondary could as well be very deadly for teams. Both very strong in zone and coverage as well as coming up and stopping the run.

With the 24th pick the Jacksonville Jaguars select...

Deonte Banks Cornerback Maryland

These last two picks can easily flip flop however, we selected it this way for a reason. Deonte Banks is one of the best sticky corners, a faster and lanky defender who can keep up with almost anyone. A really solid corner who may not fall this far, but if this were to happen it would help Jacksonville's defense tremendously. Adding some solid secondary defenders will help stop some of their tougher opponents in the AFC West and even in their own division. But when it comes to the playoffs, the Jags were as close as you can get to beating the Chiefs, having some extra help during that time would go a long way.

With the 25th pick the New York Giants select,

Quentin Johnston

A tall Lanky, deep ball catching, and space creating Receiver is something the Giants need desperately with no big acquisitions throughout free agency. This pick would give Daniel Jones a solid receiver and future Wr 1 if he pans out the correct way they want. This also would take some pressure of Saquon Barkley and the run game, as well as Sterling Shepard. Overall i really like this direction for the Giants after last season showing they have some potential on defense since a lot of their main guys were hurt most of the season. This can hopefully help out some of their consistency struggles on offense, and become a great pick for the Giants,

With the 26th pick the Dallas Cowboys select...

BIJAN ROBINSON Running Back Texas

Yes, we all as football fans know there is a slim chance this truly happens, however this is a very real chance some of the teams who are rumored to like Bijan, to look the other way and go a diffrent route. With that being said, Jerry Jones would be absolutely drooling over this pick. The home town hero playing for the hometown team. We saw how Dallas fans reacted to taking Connor Williams a guard from Texas U, in 2018 during the second round they absolutely loved it. Could you imagine how they would react to this. He would be an instant impact and your future running back completely replacing Ezekiel Elliott as well as take some time away from Tony Pollard which is completely ok if your looking to move on from him next year. Who know if this scenario will play out, but this would have to be my favorite option.

With the 27th pick the Buffalo Bills select...

Zay Flowers Wide Receiver Boston College

The reason we think the Bills may lean this way is because of the recent departure of Isaiah Mackenzie. Perhaps they look to upgrade what they once had with his position, and they try to incorporate more of a passing offense to this years team. Again, you never know what these teams are thinking towards the back end of the 1st round. I think this pick would really solidify this offense especially for this upcoming season for the Bills. Giving themselves these types of weapons would be really hard to cover for other teams especially since Josh Allen can still run the ball very efficiently when needed.

With the 28th pick the Cincinnati Bengals select...

Tyrique Stevenson Corner back Miami

We know this pick is unlikely however in our eyes we really like Stevenson and think he going to be a steal wherever he goes. A really solid man defender, with great size and hands. (@Domwithablog) "I think he's just below guys like Porter and Banks, and the Bengals really need help in their secondary after loosing Jessie Bates III, as well as Eli Apple." Personally I agree with the position selection as well as the pick. They really need help and he's got a lot of experience playing for Georgia and then becoming Miami's number one guy for a few years. He's one of the more pro ready corners available at this position late in the first round.

With the 29th pick theNew Orleans Saints select...

Calijah Kancey Defensive Tackle Pitt

I think Kancey will go much earlier than this on draft night, but in this scenario he fell to the saints who desperately need him. Last year the signing of Tyrann Mathieu the Saints were supposed to have an above average defense last year, but it turned out to be their bigger problem. Overall, they couldn't stop the run as easily as they could stop the pass, they ranked much higher overall passing defense than they did rushing defense. This pick will really help them stop those plays up the middle and allow their line backers to run free.

With the 30th pick the Philadelphia Eagles select...

Darnell Wright Offensive tackle Tennessee

This pick just makes sense, it could have easily been Anton Harrison, it all depends on who they prefer to protect their 51 million dollar man in Hurts. This is an insurance pick to make sure he's protect for years to come. Especially with Lane Johnson and Jason Kelce nearing the end of their career. This would allow them to be flexible with him and attempt tackle or even work under Lane Johnson if they feel he's more of a project. Me personally i believe he's a plug and play starter for them especially if Lane were to go down, he would be the guy you want to step in.

With the 31st pick the Kansas City Chiefs select...

Will McDonald IV EDGE Iowa State

With most of the first round talented wide receivers already selected, I think the Chiefs will select defense here. Will McDonald was one of the most productive edge rushers last year in all of college football. The previous linebacker made the switch to defensive end and never looked back. last year he had 7.5 tackles for loss as well as a team high 5 sacks last year. He started all of Iowa states last 25 games and has made an impact in most of them. Those numbers don't seem as impressive as his two years prior. he had 21.5 sacks and 26 tackles for loss in those two years. He also tied the schools record for most forced fumbles with 5. McDonald IV is a force and a great addition for the Chiefs. We saw their defense was creating a lot of disruption in the Super Bowl but adding a player with his motor and potential could be a scary thing for the AFC West.
