Coming out of the bye flat

The Offense:
The Dallas Cowboys went into the bye week feeling very good about their chances winning the next few games. However immediately we came out flat and we lost the first game we had against the Green Bay Packers. The Packers not having a great season, have completely surprised and shocked the Cowboys who were coming out with a fantastic game plan to stop the offense and causing two early turnovers and scored points on us very early. Many people are blaming the defense for not being able to stop the Green Bay Packers, which I tend to agree with and I think they do deserve many blames. But coming out and throwing two interceptions from Dak Prescott is just a punch to the gut. After those two interceptions he found Cedee Lamb in the end zone twice. He had a breakout game showing that he can be a number one receiver against the number one cornerback. Even with all the rumors of the Cowboys signing superstar Odell Beckham Jr., he continues to thrive and to show that he's worth the number one spot. On the other side Michael Gallup has been off to a slow start, which was expected coming off an ACL tear, receivers do not normally start all the same that they once were when they got injured. Give him time. Tony Pollard continues to be a joy to watch, but we need Zeke. He does give this offense that grit and helps them go get points.

The Defense:
Defensively they were many mistakes and many many many things to improve on. My one biggest question is why wasn't Micah Parsons rushing the passer? Only having nine rushes and creating one pressure from your superstar on the defense is not what we're looking for. He should be the sole rusher, he creates havoc when he gets back there because that just makes the offensive line need to double team him, which allows the rest of our guys to get easier matchups and get to the quarterback easier. When he doesn't rush the ball and we have our defensive line do what they need to do things do not go the right way. In the secondary Anthony Brown , and Kelvin Joseph, are the two worst defense of backs on the team and they get plenty of playing time. I understand Jordan Lewis is down and out for the year, which is very unfortunate because he would've made this defense much better with his presence, however with Anthony Brown leading the corner back two position, he's allowed multiple touchdowns and big plays alone. A lot of the worry was from Trevon Diggs since he allowed a lot of passing yards last year, this year he is well improved although he hasn't gotten the amount of interceptions we would've liked he's been shutting down receivers. The comeback of the LSU product, Damone Clark has been a great story to watch all year round, since the draft he was told he needed to get spinal fusion surgery from the Dallas Cowboys, no other team wanted to take a chance on this top 20 talent coming out of college. The Cowboys took a shot and he's actually not that bad. Although being his first year we shouldn't expect much since he's coming off of a major surgery. His story being very similar to once All Pro Jaylen Smith for the Dallas Cowboys. Both had major surgeries and came back in the rookie year to a slow start. Give Clark a year or two and he'll be your defensive captain along with Leighton Vander Esch, who is in his contract year and is earning his pay for years to come. Lastly, the second round pick Sam Williams (Pictured) , has shown out this year, he has shown he will be another cornerstone defensive end for the Dallas Cowboys along with Micah Parsons. In a few years that duo will be running the defense just like they are today.
