QB battle in Dallas?

The Offense:
Against a division rival New York Giants, Cooper Rush had one of his best career games. He finished with 215 passing yards, 1 touchdown, and a 98.2 Quarterback rating, Meaning he made good accurate throws and didn't turn over the ball. There is a growing theory that Cooper Rush may give Dak Prescott a run for his money for the starting Quarterback job. This may bring up old memories when Dak Prescott overcame Tony Romo's starting job his rookie year in 2016. However, in my opinion this is just media talk, there is no chance Cooper Rush could over throw Dak for the starting job, being a less mobile and weaker armed quarterback, Dak can outshine any day. The only real position battle in Dallas is the running back room, Tony Pollard has looked fantastic through the first few games and deserves more carries. Ezekiel Elliott has looked like himself however he steadily going downhill, looking slower and a little less agile than years past however not a terrible start to the year. Tony Pollard will take over as the speedy back who can outrun anybody. I believe by the end of the season the Cowboys will be using him as their premier running back.

The Defense:
The Giants put up a very good fight scoring13 points and coming very close to a win except Daniel Jones threw the game sealing interception to Trevon Diggs for his first of the year. In previous blogs I stated Micah Parsons carries the Dallas defense, Monday nights win against the Giants proved me wrong. DeMarcus Lawrence had himself a night, with three sacks tying his career high in a game, 6 tackles, and 3 of those being for a loss. With this awesome performance allowed others to flourish such as Donovan Wilson who had 11 tackles, and Trevon Diggs who had the game winning interception and a few clutch pass breakups. Dan Quinn, defensive coordinator, has this defense flying around the field, making big plays and steady tackles, Im calling it now, He will be the Dallas Cowboys head coach next year.
Upcoming:
Next week's matchup against the commanders, I fully believe Cooper Rush can lead us to another win and the defense should be able to shut down anything that Washington throws at them. In the past, we have done well against them and i believe we will continue that trend next week, Micah Parsons should bounce back after last weeks "flu game". After the Commanders played a terrible game against The Philadelphia Eagles, the cowboys look to as well put up big numbers against them like the Eagles did.
