After a very quiet long and quiet offseason, the Dallas Cowboys disappointed any and all fans with their performance Sunday night. Going up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the second consecutive year in row to open the season, yet again, they begin 0-1. Many questions from the fan base of the Dallas Cowboys came in the offseason, signing only a few players and within those players only one potential starter. after loosing multiple starters on defense and offense, the cowboys response was to sign depth and let our "young guys" get opportunities. Growth and development is something all organizations in the NFL strive for however, one year of experience is not going to lead guys to become All-Pros. The Cowboys have drafted well over the years, however the lack of signings and new starters will ultimately hurt their chances this year. Nonetheless, Trevon Diggs can prove the sophomore slump analogy, wrong with last years performance. Is there another star in the making on the defensive side? The defense was the least of anyones worries being ran by defensive coordinator, Dan Quinn who shocked the world last year with the number 1 scoring defense in the league. On the flip side of the ball, Offensive Coordinator Kellen Moore maybe got a little comfortable with that defense and was calling bad play after bad play in week 1. He, also leading the cowboys to a number 1 scoring offense last year the Dallas cowboys were hopeful of a deep playoff run, and a fresh start to a new season to open against the Goat himself Tom Brady. With no true wide receiver one yet out of Cedee Lamb, This dream was crush as they only scored 3 points, as well as loosing their starting quarterback for the next few weeks. sitting in 4th place in the division as the only NFC East team to loose, the cowboys are hopeful they can pull out one or two while Dak is injured. Hopefully he will return by week 5.
